Frome Central Tower One

Frome Central Tower One, also known as The Adelaidean, is a mixed-use hotel and residential skyscraper in Adelaide, South Australia. It is 138 metres tall, which makes it the tallest building in both Adelaide and the state of South Australia. When it was finished it passed RAA Place, the previous record holder.

Construction began in 2018 and was completed in 2020. It was developed by the Kyren Group and designed by the architecture firm Brown Falconer. It houses a Crowne Plaza hotel, announced in 2018 and opened in 2020, as well as apartments. The tower is dark glass with thin pale slab edges, chamfered balcony corners, a mid-height terrace and a black glass podium.

Who made it

The building was designed by Brown Falconer and developed by the Kyren Group. Work started in 2018, and in the same year it was announced that the tower would also hold a Crowne Plaza hotel. How it looks

The look comes from layers. Dark glass walls are cut by thin pale edges of the floor slabs. The corners of the balconies are cut at an angle, which is called chamfered.
