October 19, 1910: Star scientist Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar is born. Astrophysicist Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar was born in Lahore, then in British India and now in Pakistan. He worked out what happens to stars when they grow old, discovering the 'Chandrasekhar limit'. NASA's Chandra X-ray space telescope is named after him.
