Panorama Tower is a mixed-use skyscraper with 85 floors in Miami, Florida, in the United States. It stands in the Brickell district of downtown Miami, near the water, and rises about 265 meters. It is the tallest building in both Miami and the whole state of Florida.

The tower mixes homes, a hotel, shops and offices in one slim glass shaft. It reached its full height in late 2017, passing the Four Seasons Hotel Miami, and it was finished in 2018. Its story is also a story of waiting: building stopped during the big economic crisis around 2007 to 2009, and it was revived in 2012. It is known as one of the landmarks of the Brickell skyline.

How did the project start and stop?

The first plans for a tower at this address were approved by the City of Miami in 2006, but the housing market crashed and the work was put on hold during the Great Recession. In 2009 a Miami developer bought the three-acre site. In 2012 the owner hired an architect to redesign the project, and in 2013 the plan was revised into the 868-foot (265 m) tower. It is the first development in the city to be paid for in part with EB-5 investor visas.

Where is it, and why is it special?

The address is Brickell Bay Drive, behind two older office buildings, about two blocks from a station of the Metromover, the automated train that circles downtown. Being the tallest in the whole state of Florida makes the tower a landmark for the skyline. Its thin, bluish shaft of glass and its many floors give a wide, open view of the bay and the city, which fits its name.
