One of the tallest free-standing structures in the Southern Hemisphere, famous for its SkyJump.

Visitors can ride up to viewing decks with 360-degree views, and a few brave ones even jump off. It stands at the corner of Victoria and Federal Streets and is part of the SkyCity casino complex and from 1996 to 2022 it was the tallest freestanding structure in the Southern Hemisphere.

Several upper levels are open to the public. The main observation level sits at 186 metres and has thick glass floor panels that show the ground far below. A higher deck near the antenna is at about 220 metres and gives views up to 82 km on a clear day.

There is also a revolving restaurant about 190 metres up, which turns a full circle every hour. For thrill-seekers there are the SkyWalk around the outside and the SkyJump.

The SkyJump is a 192-metre leap from the observation deck. Jumpers can reach speeds of up to 85 km/h as they fall. A guide cable keeps them away from the tower, even when wind gusts blow.

The tower is also a party stage: it hosts fireworks and light shows at New Year, and the 2025 show fired fireworks in all directions from three platforms.
